  1. Hi all, I am so glad I found this thread & I hope this thread is still active. I am currently a pre-nursing student hoping to get into a bsn program fall of next year. I have been thinking about what field in nursing I would like to end up in & after doing a lot of research, I stumbled into aesthetic nurse. Now I have a few questions that hopefully you guys can answer. I apologize in advance if my questions seem really dumb. lol 1: I would like to double check that I understand this right. In order to become an aesthetic nurse, you would need to become a nurse & find at least an employer that is willing to pay for education to go to aesthetic school. 2: Once you become an aesthetic nurse, where would you say the best place to work is? 3: For those who are aesthetic nurse, are you satisfied? 4: If ever I decide to start my own medspa, how should I go about it (I live in illinois)? 5: For those who have your business, are you satisfied? I hope this isnt too much for any of you. I want to thank you all in advance. I know that this will really help me narrow my search of what field in nursing I would really prefer.
  2. The school seems really interesting now, no application fee & PE classes. Thank you for the info.
  3. Thank you LISAWANTSBSN. I feel much more better. I will def. give them a call and make an appt. with an advisor. Thanks again.
  4. I agree with everyone, I think you should go to CC route first besides your only 16 you still have a lot of time to really think about your future. Also, have you looked at any scholarships im sure you must have a good academic reputation seeing that you are a high grad. at 16. There could be scholarships for you that may take you full ride. you should look into that.
  5. I plan on moving out of state as well. I am from IL and planning to move to CA. I plan on going to nursing school there. I dont know where to start either so im glad you started this thread. I told my family already and they approve of me leaving. I dont have any kids and/or husband but I do have a bf for 5 years now. I am a little hesitant to leave him but I dont think that is a good enough reason to stay. Im actually pretty excited where my life will take me. So I think its a great idea but i think u should def. tell your mom and really think twice about it since your mom is sick right now.
  6. I guess you've got a point. I still have a year of pre-req. so there is still time to raise it up. Im just worried cuz I have to apply atleast a sem. before but I'll def. look into schools that have academic forgiveness. Thank you
  7. OHH thankss. lol sorry for the slowness. Your profile def. looks a lot better than mines. Thanks for your help. Congrats & good luck with school.
  8. Chikitakisses - Thank you =D I def. dont mind paying for the school and im willing to study my butt off to get into the program. Thanks again =D
  9. Hi all, I was wondering has anyone gotten accepted yet. Does anyone know how strict they are when comes to ACT's cuz i looked at the website and they said you need atleast a 21 but I got a 19 i dont think I can really do much about it now. As far as GPA, i currently have a 2.57 i know you need a 2.75. I still taking my pre-req. so I still have time to raise it up. I plan to apply probably sometime in 2010, atleast until I get my gpa up. I know my chances are very low right now but i do plan to get my gpa up to atleast a 3.0. Im just worried about my ACT's. Does anyone know how they look at that? Also, does anyone know how they feel about students taking the class again? I did really bad in ANAT 1, I got a D but i am retaking it now and so far i am currently holding an A hoping to keep it there. back to what i was saying has anyone asked about that?
  10. hey chikitakisses did you say u were from NY cuz i am actually looking into WCU and I am from chicago. I was wondering what was your profile when you applied there, if you dont mind me asking.
  11. I was wondering what school are you guys referring to about repeating classes?
  12. Thanks you for your encouraging words =D It def. helps with my mixed emotions lol
  13. Congrats on your acceptance Im actually looking into that school. I was wondering what your profile looked like when you applied to the school? hope you dont mind me asking.... I am currently in IL but I plan to move out there ... I did hear that it will probably be harder for me since I am out of state but im willing to give it a try. Congrats again =D
  14. Thanks CrunchyMama, I took physics when I was trying to fulfill the pre-req. for pharm. thanks again =D MotivatedOne --- Yeah Im kinda worried about taking A&P at a different college, I know I have no chance with UIC but thats ok, but im hoping to get into other schools even if I have to move out of state. Whats CC? sorry im new to this abbreviation thing ... lol if you dont mind me asking what does your profile look like applying to CC. Congrats on your acceptance & good luck. Thanks for your advice
  15. Yeah i kinda figured that when i was doing some research that my chances would be low since I am out of state. Im prolly going to end up applying to almost every school in cali. lol Ultimately, I would love to go to CSU LA... Would anyone happen to know more about that school.
