hi everyone,
i am currently taking my pre-reqs at lavc and so far so good, i had to drop one of my classes due to conflict with my biology field trip schedule, but i am still taking 4 classes, 13credits to be exact. however, i just recieved my acceptance letter to a 20 weeks, cna class at wvoc. the class is scheduled to start on april 20th and will run for 20 weeks.
i waited for so long to get in the class and i am afraid that if i inform the admission that i will not be able to take this upcoming cna session, that my name will be put back at the bottom of the wait list. i was looking forward into becoming a cna so i can start working for money and experience. that being said, i am really doing great with my pre-reqs classes and i am not sure if getting an incomplete is even an option.
is it worth dropping my classes now, or should i just put my name back on the wait list?
any input will be appreciated.

Pre-reqs will get you into nursing school, which will lead to what you really want to do, whether it be LPN or RN. While becoming a CNA would be an excellent way to get paid experience, I wouldn't let it interfer with my schooling/ultimate goal. Maybe talk to the group holding the course and see if they would be willing to carry over your name to the next session so you can finish up the classes you are already in. Seems like a terrible waste of time and money to withdrawl from the classes you are in and may hurt your chaces for acceptance as some schools might lookdown on withdrawls/incompletes.
Thanks tfleuter!!
