Need advice on RN-BSN programs in NYC area.

Published

Hi I am graduating from a CUNY in Spring 2015. I am looking into RN-BSN programs and was seeking advice. Which program is most flexible and quick to finish?

I have done some research on this topic and I am attending hunter, but it's only quicker for me because I already have a Bachelors in another field. If you don't have a bachelor's the quickest one is probably downstate from what I've researched. Look onto all sites and look at their schedule for each program, that will give you an idea, based on what classes you already have. I spent hours upon hours researching and the apps are lengthy so I did them all over my winter break.

Do you know Hunter's admission process? Do they look at your grades from your nursing program or will they also average the grades from your other schools? Cause I don't have a BA, but I do have classes from other schools.

Check out SUNY Delhi, the RN-BSN program is completely on line. However, I don't know details.

Have you looked into the RN to BSN program at CUNY School of Professional Studies? It is an online program.

I'm looking for a program that can be finished in 3 semesters or less. Lehman is looking like a decent choice for that.

It depends on whether you want online or classroom. Online SUNY Delhi or chamberlain programs is clinical vs no clinical and check out SUNY downstate for classroom

Lehman, Hunter, and City Tech have RN-BSN programs as does SUNY Downstate. All of these have a good reputation and are lower price than the RN-BSN programs at private schools.
