Need advice re: problem CNA working with me in a school setting

Published

I need some help. I am a school nurse and have a CNA who works with me. I brought some very serious concerns regarding the health and safety of my students to my principals and then superintendent. This CNA was terminated. She then hired an attorney, and was rehired because there wasn't proper documentation (on the principals part, not mine) regarding her being spoken to and having the ability to correct her actions. I'm no being told that she will return to work and be again working under my license. It's a mess and I need legal advise. Does anyone know where I can get that? It would be employment litigation. I contacted NASN and they said they do not offer legal assistant or make referrals either. School starts in 2 weeks! I need advise.

Hey 105100, I suggest starting a new thread to illicit a better response. Good luck.

Moved to a thread of its own. Do you have malpractice/liability insurance (everyone should ) if so , start there. They should be able to advise you. Try your county lawyer referral service or county bar association for an attorney referral. You can also try The American Association of Nurse Attorneys as they have a lawyer referral service. We cannot offer referrals or legal advice as per site terms of service.
