Jason, I took the nclex-pn on wednesday nov 22. i used saunders book, cd, Q&A and cd. i found that saunders is an excellent study guide for nclex. i have not yet recieved my results, but when i took the exam i felt very confident. after completing the saunders book passing with 75%, i went to the cd and then the Q&A aiming higher at 85% and then the cd. I felt like maybe i was scoring so well because i had memorized some of the q&a's so yes i had the same apphrensions. If you seriously feel like you are not prepared, reschedule. (that is if you are able to differentiate test anxiety from knowing that you're not prepared) you want to feel confident and relaxed (as much as you can be) on the day of the test. I knew i was ready when i finished the study Rx and just couldn't stand looking at another fricken nclex question again!!! Oh and if you're thinking about a prep class, they are very expensive and all they do is tell you how to study and what to study. you can get a good study guide for free from suzzanne4 using saunders. i hope i am of some help! if you need anything feel free to pm me. :monkeydance:
Wow thanks GracieSVN! I feel alot better now. With my current plan on studying the saunders nclex-pn examination cd and the kaplan PN question databse, between these two i think I will be fine. We shall see! Today subscribe to the kaplan PN question database and start chipping away at those nclex questions. phhhewww!
Thanks again!
Jason

I dont feel to confident about passing the nclex-pn exam right now
All i have studied so far is basically the entire NCLEX-PN Saunders test prep CD. Got the entire dang thing memorized almost. I read all the rationales and try to understand but feel like I am just memorizing. In school i was the top of my class with high honors, but i average about 55-65% on the Saunders NCLEX-PN prep test cd on my first attempts on the exams there. Now I am thinking of getting the Kaplan online NCLEX-PN prep course and mastering that. Anyone got any advice for me? Is this normal and what are my chances of passing based on what I have said? I feel so scared!!!
Also... does anyone know of any actual NCLEX-PN test prep classroom courses in san diego? I learn much better when learning from a teacher in person than just staring at my computer monitor all day taking questions.
