Need advice on dental procedure! What to do?

Published

First let me say I have posted this questions on other sites and have not gotten any answers....

Let me first say I had horrible dental hygiene habits growing up(didnt have anyone yelling at me to brush my teeth! so I rarely took care of them)

As I got older I took better care of myself but my lack of care when I was younger cought up with me....

Needed 3 root canals which my dentist started but I couldnt afford to finish because my insurance said I had to pay $300+ for each tooth... So those teeth came out...(the jerk wouldnt let me set up a payment plan)

So Today I got my wisdom teeth removed but my oral surgeon said my top left wisdom tooth so badly impacted it destroyed the 2 molars adjacent to it, she had no option but to remove them as well....

Now I am missing 3 molars on the upper left part of my mouth :-(

she said my only option was implants that my insurance does not cover...

I'm only 24 and I feel horrible because I am missing so many teeth.... what would you do in my situation... I need at least 3 implants and I know they cost thousands of dollars :-(

and i DO NOT want to get a bridge cause that will just eventually ruin the good teeth i have left... and I would jsut hate having dentures... :-(

what would you do?

Hi, there.

I can certainly empathize, understand, and appreciate the great deal of time and massive expense that goes into dental procedures. In fact, I personally have paid more than $2,000 out of my own pocket for dentistry this year. One of the procedures that I had performed was a root canal.

However, I must regretfully inform you that this is not a dental advice forum per the terms of service. Therefore, it would be best for you to return to your dentist for advice on how to proceed, or obtain an opinion from another dental professional. I wish you the very best of luck!
