I could really use some advice here. I just started a new job as a CNA working one on one with elderly clients. I just received the chart of my first client and basically it details that my client is "6'4, 250 pounds, physically violent, verbally abusive and extremely sexually aggressive towards caregivers". I was wondering if you guys had any tips that could help me when dealing with this client. How can I calm them down if they become aggressive? How should I respond when inappropriate comments are made? How can I help myself cope when rude/mean things are said?
Thank you all so much, all input is appreciated!!
