Nebraska nurse wages

U.S.A. Nebraska

Anyone willing to share wages for new grads outside of Omaha and Lincoln? I'm talking more rural areas, and in both hospitals and nursing homes. You can PM me if you are willing to give this out.

Interesting perspective, Tom. I'm contemplating taking a travel assignment in the Omaha area and I've been doing a bit of research during the past week. The pay I've been offered is a bit lower that what I've made elsewhere but not that much. I'm seriously thinking about it.

Welcome to exotic Omaha!

Just don't watch the national news today (blizzard coverage) or you may change your mind!

MOST of Nebraska I like--NOT Omaha, Lincoln, or even Grand Island. I like to be as far away from the big cities as possible. When I was single I lived in Frankfurt, Germany, Louisville, KY, Knoxville,TN and loved it. Now I just want to be out here--no traffic, slow pace of life, good fishing and hunting--safe for my kids MOST of the time.

OK, now I've got to defend my adopted hometown :)

I'm a small town girl. I've lived NEAR lots of big cities: Chicago, KC, Charlotte, Philadelphia, but never IN one. We moved to Omaha 2 years ago, and actually live in the city, and I love it. No doubt it is very different than small-town Nebraska, but wonderful nontheless.

People are friendly and welcoming. There is lots to do. I've seen more plays and music productions here than I saw in Chicago because it is easy to get to them. Healthcare is good. Shopping and restaurants are abundant. The zoo, museums, and botanical gardens are lovely. Great golf and swimming facilities.

So, don't be put off by Omaha. We'd love to have you.
