Hello, my name is Linda. I am 36 years old, married, and have 1 son. I'm a LPN student and it's so nice to find a site that is just for those involved in nursing. I am in my 2nd week of school and have already had a quiz and test, things are going so fast. I barely passed my first test, (by 2 points) and I'm already unsure of myself as if I can do this. I cried in class in front of everyone after getting my test results and feel like everyone thinks lower of me now. I'm a great english student but the "best" answer for the nursing questions have me dumbfounded, I obviously am confused as to getting in the mindset of the "best" answer. If anyone can offer advice I would be so appreciative. God Bless you all!
Thanks!
Linda
I too am in my 2nd week of school. Our first test was a total shock! There was not one person (out of 60) who passed it with a 77 or better! Of course we complained about a lot of the questions and the instructors threw out some of the questions, which brought almost everyone's grade up to passing. But there were still some who did not pass. We were told that the 1st test is always the hardest because you really don't know what to expect. Just hang in there and keep a positive attitude! Hopefully we'll all do better on test 2 (which is next week for me)! :)
just wanted to let you know that you are not alone:) I am in my 3rd week of LVN classes, and I have been pretty overwhelmed...I've bombed 2 tests and a couple of quizzes...I am discouraged, but at the same time I know, I am not the only one who has felt this way about the first couple of months. Your instructors are there to help you succeed...if you don't understand something or feel overwhelmed...talk to them. My instructors have been wonderful about it. Also there is a book out there about how to survive nursing school. I heard it is a godsend, and i plan on buying it soon. I also plan on buying some of the "made incredibly easy" books. (ex. Dosage Calculations made incredibly easy)there is a whole nursing set. I heard they are very much worth the money. Chin up.

Nursing school for me was a nightmare to say the least... It seemed that you were constantly under the "weeding out" process. Just hang in there. If i could do so could you (believe me)
