[color=#a52a2a]i would like to get in the jan 2013 program online and i wanted to know if anyone is enrolled now or who already has been in the program. what is to be excepted to be accepted in the program? thanks!
The McGraw Hill book also helped in that it provided additional practice tests and, in some cases, better explanations. I had read that several people ran out of time when taking the test, but did not find that to be the case when I took it. If you can take the practice tests within the alloted time though, you'll do fine. Some of the math problems got a bit involved where you had to figure several things out to get to the answer, but there was no geometry and only a little algebra. Other than that, it was just basic math.
There were 23 questions on the reading portion of the test I took that related to topic/theme/main idea type stuff. That was what I was most afraid of, too, because I kept goofing when doing it in the book. But I scored in the 90's on that part, so some of it must have sunk in. I would say if you are studying the ATI book, just really get to where you can answer all the test questions as well as the practice questions that are listed in the book. That's what I did and it worked pretty well.
I went in around 11 and was out by 1:45, but I just whizzed through the science part as they weren't looking at it anyway at NCTC. I still wound up doing better on the science part though than the national or program scores. But anyway, that is why it didn't take as long as it normally would have taken. Plus, I wound up with anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes left over on the other portions. I started studying in late February, early March time frame, but not hard....just bits every day or so. We travel a lot, so I wanted to get an early start since I never know for sure what our travel status is going to be. There were a couple of weeks that I didn't study at all. The last 2 weeks though, I studied every day for a few hours a day in between homeschooling our 2 little ones.

So do you suggest getting the ATI book to study? And Did the exam tell you how many questions you missed?
