OMG!! I just read it!! I'm extremely nervous now!! I have 10 pts and my GPA is 3.83... I pray that I am able to test... this is so stressful... But good luck to everyone!! :-)

Ahh! I forgot to check yesterday for updates. I calculated that I would have 11 points, but of course I'm thinking, "What if I calculated wrong?!?" Good luck to everyone! I hope we get our letters soon!

new update on the website.

we have received some sample test questions from kaplan. go to the link regarding the pre-admission (kaplan) exam. the link is listed at the bottom of the page.

i printed off the pdf and looked it over briefly already. i'm not sure how much it will help, as there are only a few questions for each section (and some are a tad confusing).

Yay!! Hey you guys, I just read on the website that they are allowing all 10, 11 and 12 pts to test this time since this is the last year they will be using this curriculum. Such a relief for me, now I can focus on studying. Also they are trying to send letters out by June 8

I hope I can find some time to study for the exam in the midst of my microbiology class (I'm already swamped with work)!

I'm glad NCTC is good about updating their website to inform us of what's going on. It cuts down on the anxiety of this whole process.

Yes Zweiells I totally understand. I'm taking micro for 10 weeks and I'm also taking nutrition and arts online for summer 1. I'm so stressed but I'm also determined. I realize that all I can do is my best. So its hard juggling life school and a family but we just have to stay committed. Good luck again

I got my letter today! I will be testing on the 29th. I'm glad there will be a little more time to study!

Hey guys I've been so busy with my 3 classes and working I haven't had time to reply. I'm glad that we all are testing. I'm testing June 28 @ 1pm. I wish you all the best of luck on the exam. I pray that we all do well on the exam!!! Good luck :-)

first off i want to congratulate everyone getting their test dates. good luck on the kaplan test. for the ones who lives in dallas and grapevine, i live in the dallas area and have been driving to gainesville for the last year and a half, if you can find a study group/car pool, it will definately benefit you as this drive can become quite monotonous. for those who get accepted to the program, i stress to take advantage of all your resources (mentors, setting up lab times to practice skills, sim lab opportunities, talk to your teachers if you are having difficulty, asking for help) that is what they are there for. if you find you are struggling and have not used your resources it is only yourself to blame. i recommend getting an nclex book and just trying these type of questions because this is what you will be testing over. it is a very different way of thinking. don't be scared, this program is not easy but as long as you put in the time you will be able to make it through. i can not stress about your mentors (they have information that will help you)....don't just discard them. once again....congrats and good luck. i hope to be seeing you at orientation.
