I Am Planning On Doing The Ncsbn-rn Course. I Would Like To Know Which Is More Effective, The 3-week Or 5-week Course ?? This Question Is To All Of You Who Have Done This. Any Answers Will Be Appreciated.

course is the same even if you sign up for 5 weeks. it only depends how much time do you have to study every day. if you study little by little i sugest to sign up for 5 weeks. if you have lots of time to study then 3 weeks is enough.

It's just the same thing.. 3 or 5 weeks.. it will just depend on how much time you have for studying. for me 3 weeks is good enough.

How many questions on the NCSBN course? Does 5 week offer more questions?

it's the same amount of questions (appr. 900-1000) for 3 weeks or 5 weeks of course.

ITs the same thing. I am doing the 5wks now along with using Saunders and I am enjoying it.

I did the 5 week course. I personally would recommend the 5 week course because it'll give you time to go through all of the review material (the review material is extensive) PLUS you may even have enough time to do some of the exams more than once.

Also, I had a few friends who went for the 3 week course and never got around to finishing all the exams.

Another thing, you want to time your course along with your NCLEX exam so that you finish your course no greater than a week away from your exam date. This way everything is FRESH in your mind!

Hope I could be of assistance :)

Good luck in your studies!

Hi Maria

I have been actively reading all the posts posted by the November test takers and have got amazing tips on everything one needs to do for taking the RN NCLEX... and Thank you so much for your thoughtful and clear answer!!! I will be taking the NCLEX in March.. so still have some time and have completed the Kaplan course.. but will probably go back to them for the last three months, therefore was unable to make up my mind as to where i could possibly throw in the NCSBN review... right now I am studying Saunders (Suzanne's first tip) !! but will now probably do the NCSBN last 5 weeks of FEB/MAR (thanks to your clear description of the course)

same as the other posts. it depends on how much time you have to study. personally i got the 3 wk course and used Saunders Q & A and it was good enough for me to pass w/ 75q.

I passed Nclex-RN (75?'s) by doing the ncsbn course for 8 weeks. I only did the questions on the site (which are close to nclex) because the content was too much for me as I was getting content from Kaplan and Feuer cds. Good Luck!

Hi Rnroseshea

Thank you. I have decided to do the 5 week course as I will be redoing Kaplan Qbank. As far as content goes, I will be using Saunders book, and Kaplan content videos. I honestly don't think I can do any more than all that. I hope to complete those !! Thanks for letting me know how you did the course It certainly helps to know ...
