NCSBN REVIEW??

Published

Already took Kaplan and am completing that before my test July 21st, working on the last 4 or 5 chapters in my Saunders book, along with doing 2-3 review books just full of questions. I heard the NCSBN review was good because a lot of the questions were similar to those on the NCLEX? I would only need the 3-week course, which is $49. I don't mind spending that. Is it worth it? Anybody take it???

^ the thing is, I would just be doing questions since i've been doing content review. and with doing everything else that I am doing, I won't be able to complete ALL of the questions... but i do plan on doing a lot. It's just something else to help me prepare. Good idea or bad? haha thanks!

I paid for the 3-week subscription and have been using Saunders for content review. I am mainly just using NCSBN for questions, which I feel have helped a lot! I'm also doing questions from Saunders, Mosby, a little Kaplan, and the NCLEX 3500. But I can't really say for sure, because I don't take the NCLEX until Wednesday.

thanks a lot!! sounds like we are doing similar things!! do you like the NCSBN questions? I think I am going to buy it.. every little bit could not hurt.. especially if it means taking this test ONCE. GOODLUCK ON WEDNESDAY!!! PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DO!!! (and if what you studied helped!!!)

I think the NCSBN questions are different from any other type, like Saunders and Mosby. I've heard from a couple people that they are similar to NCLEX. I think what is different is that a lot of the time, more than one answer seems right; so it helps you pick from multiple answers. I'm the kind of person that wants to try lots of types of questions to make sure I don't just freak out during the test. Hopefully it will go well! Thanks for the encouragement, and I'll let you know how it goes. I'm so nervous!!

I just took the Nclex 3 days ago and passed. The Nclex was indeed similar to the NCSBN, but some questions were similar to Kaplan too. Saunders questions were too easy as compare to the Nclex. If you are using Kaplan and getting NCSBN, that is a great combination to help you prepare for the Nclex. Good luck guys!!!

thank you so much!!!

Am going to suscribe for ncsbn, i heard exam cram is good too esp. The cd..

yeah i also saw that about exam cram. is that a book you buy?? I have soo much to study from tho.. I can't imagine one more thing. If I don't pass, I'll definitely try that out. Let us know if you like it!!!

This is what concerns me as well.

That Saunders questions have become too easy.

Then again...Suzanne SWORE by Saunders.

I wonder sometimes...if we forget the main purpose of the NCLEX.

All it states is that you are MINIMALLY COMPETENT to be an RN.

I'll find out at the end of the month and report back if I pass.

Even though, the Saunders questions may seem easy, they are great as far as content goes. The questions should be used to increase your knowledge not really to challenge you. I love Saunders just for that reason. Since the rationales are so informative, I don't really have to read too much.:D
