NCLEX in 2 weeks advice

Hello guys. :) I'm taking my nclex 2nd time around on May 15 at Pasadena. I go to this site every day and read about inspiring stories and pieces of advice from all of you. It is such a comforting feeling knowing that I am not alone in this.

I took the exam before with 265 questions, I got near the passing standard in all areas and one above the passing standard. I realized that I found myself not really focusing on the questions anymore when I got past 150q. 5 hours of answering questions really drained me.

So I decided on building stamina on answering questions.

I've been blessed to receive a lot of resources from friends.

I have Saunders Q&A, Saunders Alternate type questions, NCLEX 4000, Kaplan Q trainer, Lipincott's Q&A and PDA.

I was actually advised about getting the NCSBN 3 week course for the exam, but I thought I should use the resources I have. What do you guys think? And Im so overwhelmed and decided to focus on just Qtrainer, PDA and NCLEX 4000. Is that good practice for me for the questions? thank you guys. :)

After I pass the exam, *positive thinking* :D I will try to find out as to how I can share all the resources I have with all of you. :) I have lots of MP3s from Kaplan, Fauer and Hurst. Notes and Applications here on my laptop on the Q&As I mentioned above. and tons of books. *but I dont know how I can share books*

I'm maintaining a positive attitude so that I wont be so stressed on the exam. God bless us all who are about to take the NCLEX and thank you to all the angels who are so nice on sharing their stories and inspiring us. :)

*Prayer is the best armor against all trials.*

In God I have put my trust, I will not be afraid. -Psalms 56:11 :)

I'm in the same boat! This is my second time and I went through all 265 questions with all my results near the passing range. :/ I just finished my two last trainers on Kaplan and didn't score great :( I'm really discouraged Now. I'm scheduled to take it next week and I'm not sure what I should do.

Awww. Don't be discouraged with the last two trainers. In some practice tests I get high scores, in others I don't. You know what I think the problem is with 265q examiners like us? We just skip through the questions because we already feel like we failed and just want to get it over with.

So this time that's what I'm doing, I'm answering the questions slowly and giving my best to each one of them.

Don't be afraid, pray. I know that a lot of people are saying that, but that's what I do when I feel like I've been getting questions I have no idea about. I pause for a while and pray. Because I think the main problem we are facing during the exam is our nerves, our anxiety. It's not making us think clearly.

Remember these verses:

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and bright future. - Jeremiah 29:11

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways

acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. - Proverbs 3:56

Therefor I tell you whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. - Mark 11:24

Yea I've been going to mass like 2/3 times a week bc I'm so scared and traumatized by the first test! How are u studying for SATA's? I remember getting a lot of those, priority and infection, especially chorting patients. The only meds I had were math problems. Do u think Saunders is ok with practice for SATA's or I should use nclex 4000 also?

Yes, I had a lot of priority questions as well and SATA's. I realized that you wouldn't be able to prioritize properly if you dont understand the nature of the disease, that's why this time around I made sure that I study the core content very well. With the SATA's I make it as a true or false question. But it all comes down to if I know my core content well because if I don't then, true or false wouldn't work as well.

Well I'm really not sure which one's better, Saunders or NCLEX 4000 that's why I made this post. Unfortunately, no one has really answered my question yet. :(

I'm using Nclex 4000 & I pray it helps because this is my 2nd time test. Is there anyway you can email the Saunders questions

Hello! Don't be discouraged! I am going on my third round this time around =\ my last time i had the same experience and had 265 with MAJORITY sata questions.. those questions alone defeated me and same with me when i surpassed 175, I couldnt do it anymore! I plan on trying again within the month and have to start studying all over again but dont know where to begin. Could you PM me the sources that you have?! Any help would be great!

I am still waiting for my eligibility from vermont bon. What review materials do you suggest as of this time while still waiting to take the test. I am still confused.thanks.

I am currently doing SATA from Nclex 4000 and really praying to god to be my last attempt.

All the best to you
