Comments I've heard from people who have recently written both is that the CRNE asks very ambiguous touchy-feely questions that seem really subjective. If your communication style isn't "textbook" then you'll get it wrong. NCLEX tests hard, objective nursing knowledge, so if you know your stuff, it will be easier.

oh okay..does crne asks many drug questions? i took nclex already and i wanna take crne..can you give tips? tnx!
They are completely different exams, from the ground up. There is no way that they are even similar at all. Even the preparation is different as the focus of the Canadian exam is different than the one for the US.
And there is no choice, if you wish to work in Canada, then you need the CRNE. If the wish to work in the US, then you need the NCLEX. Not a point as to which is harder, it needs to be done if you wish to work there, and remember that it is only offered three times per year. Not like the NCLEX exam.

Completely different, the CRNE focuses more on psycho-social issues, not the priority type questions that you had on the NCLEX exam. There are review books out there specifically for that exam, you may want to pick one up to get a feel for the questions.
hi, need your help and expertise! can you recommend a reviewer for crne that has the "canadian approach" other than the crne prep guide? it's hard to use nclex reviewers coz i believe, other than scientific details, everything else is different. in short, i might fail because i actually used nclex materials!! help!!!!
CRNE= All about psycho/social.....you will be given a situation and how would you handle it. Also I think its a written exam unless its changed.
Nclex= Specific, ie a situation, whole bunch of abnormal lab values, abnormal vital sign....what would you do as a RN. You will be writting it in a room, whole bunch of cameras watching you and infront of a computer!
This is how I saw the difference between two exams!
