I passed the NCLEX (here in Florida)

I'm thankful for every help I can get

Did you take the set of English exams? Those are required also, and then you can ge the Visa Screen Certificate. But did you already apply for it and send in the fee?
Yes, that is correct that you do not need to write the CGFNS exam.

yes, I did the TOEFL and TSE/TWE and passed both
and I allready payed for the visa screen
What do I have to do to let CGFNS know, that I passed the NCLEX?
is a letter and/or call to FBON enough to get them to send the information to CGFNS?
THX for your help !!
Usually you will need to pay a fee to Florida BON for them to send the verification to CGFNS. Just give them a call and they will tell you what they need from you.
Goodl luck, let me know if you need any more help. :)

Hi again suzanne, sorry for bombarding you with questions, just wanted to know is it possible to take the CGFNS exam anytime you want right after u passed the NCLEX and started the Visa Screen process? I plan to just take the CGFNS while waiting for my visa just for me to be able to have a CGFNS certificate in handy just in case I choose to move another state later on. Is that possible? Or can I take the CGFNS when I get to the US?
If you have passed NCLEX, then there is absolutely no reason to take the CGFNS exam. It is not needed to endorse to any states other than Illinois or Michigan. Illinois will waive the requirement if you have two years of work experience in the US, and Michigan will do the same with five years.
It was originally designed to be used for nurses who were still overseas and would not be able to take the NCLEX or the original state boards until they arrived in the US. It was considered a "weeding out" exam.
There is absolutely no reason to take it. Please reconsider..........most states no longer require the exam, just the CES for initial licensure.
IC, thanks suzanne. If for example, I applied for New York, but wanted to endorse to Texas, would the processing time be based on the Vermont or Texas processing center? Sorry I'm still not understanding the entire process of endorsing to another state.
THX for the great help!!!
Contacted FBON and hope everything is gonna resolve fast
The visa center for processing is based on where the employer is that is doing your petitioning. It has absolutely nothing to do with where you are licensed. Only immigration.
Endorsing is just that. You would go to Texas BON website and follow what it states for endorsing..............an application as well as fee is usually all that is required for most states.
