Hello! I guess I'm here to read about experiences of people who already went through this very stressful situation as Nclex exam. I have taken Kaplan and my scores started at 50% and went up to 58 % at the end of the course( December) I have been studying really hard since then, I have retaken almost all my tests ( qtrainers) again after a month and my scores went up to 65-75%. Has any of you heard anything similar ? I am so nervous , I guess we all have to go through this.
Well I tried the PVT tonight. (2/1/12). i took the exam on 31/1.12.....so thas 24 hours now. I tried the "PVT trick" and it said to contact my BON. I started crying because I heard that if you see that then youve passed. ........
I sure do hope thats true. I will get yall know.. i studied my butt off this time for sure, coz i know it was my last time. i sure do hope that PVT trick is true :)........ thanks for the encouragement guys ..... from: SOON TO BE RN :)
I'm taking it Feb 13. We'll be fine :) I'm just doing questions and doing them repetitively (some I've had before) actually help because then I remember the answer and why it's correct. Good luck!
I wish you all the best dear. If you believe in God, I sugget you pray and pray ...coz thats the only thing that kept my sanity in that exam. And try to be calm.
I havent recieved any results yet tho. i tried the PVT Trick and it said contact my BON so i dunno.. but good LUCK :)

Dont be nervouse, tho its easier said than done. Just do alot of practice questions, esp from the NCBSN website. That site is soooo good. Its just like the exam. Vague questions. I did them everyday.
Thanks for the congrats..... but I'll let you when I get the official. Dont want to do "the happy dance" too early ...lol... :)
Your scores are improving, so you must be doing something right! Keep it up! I recently took the NCLEX and the main thing I would advise is to have your lab values memorized. A lot of questions you won't be able to critically think through if you aren't sure what the range is for WBC's (for example). Also, take a break! I took one after an hour and it really helped to clear my head. I felt ten times more confident when I sat back down!
The main things I focused on when I was studying were:
Lab values
Isolation Precautions
The different signs (Like Chvostek's, allen's test, koplik's spots, etc)
Common Med-Surg diseases (Definitely Cushings, Addison's, Hirschsprung's, Hyper/hypothyroid, hyper/hypoparathyroid. I ended up getting all of those in my questions!)
Btw, I find out tomorrow morning if I passed or not. (Eek!) But I got the good pop-up from the PVT so I'm 99% sure I passed!

Hmm, I haven't done practice questions on the NCSBN website. Where do I go to do those? Thanks!
