I hate taking exams, they are pure evil. With that said, don't allow these dragons you have built up in your head regarding the NCLEX get the better of you. You failed it once, it is okay, you will get it this next time.

I may say this a lot but I am going to say it again, before you even start your NCLEX test this next time, take a deep breath, hold it, then slowly exhale. I noticed doing this would help with my nervous. Also, don't put so much pressure on yourself while you take your NCLEX. Tell yourself, it is what it is. You know this stuff, you made it through nursing school. Rise above the nerves! I know, easier said then done.

If I were you I would do practice questions with rationals on them. I'd answer 200-300 a day until the day before you retest. This is to get you used to taking questions and when you go to sit for your NCLEX it will feel more like you are practicing more questions.

Know your lab vaules and dosage calculations.

If you don't know the answer to the question, pick C, or the answer that is the most words. Don't over think when you are reading a question. If you find yourself thinking, what if, stop yourself right there.

I know while taking yourself you will have a roller coaster of emotions, I know I sure did. You can do this. Don't tell yourself you can't. Tell yourself over and over, you've got this, I'm going to pass, I'm going to make this happen. Don't let this dragon (NCLEX) beat you.

I wish you the best of luck.

I tutor for Nclex but am in the central jersey area. Try looking into an online test prep course such as Kaplan or Hurst. Good Luck
