It can take anything from 3 days to 6 weeks depending on your file, whether you have a SSN and also because the BRN is now closed 3 Fridays a month

I dont know if your talking about the nclex-pn or nclex-rn but I dont think CA does the quick results... all of us have to wait 3-6 weeks! :uhoh21:

FOR RN CA BON its true 3days - 6wks but is that true also if your result takes afters 3weeks --- you pass.

I don't know about how long it takes to receive our results. But I have been waiting for exactly 1 week now and so far my name has not been on the website. I called the Boards myself, spoke to a woman and she said my results were pending. She did not know what "pending" meant. So I'm waiting patiently "trying," to get my results.

Crrosing my fingers and praying and thanking GOD that I'm still here, no matter what happens!!! Good luck!!

That is such a long time! I am just going to have to be patient! I need a job and I hate to do all the applying when it may be for nothing.

Don't we have to pay for our license first before it will show on the website? Or is it already paid for? I come from a different state that has much different rules then CA!!!!

Yes on the California Board of Registered Nurses website, continue to search for your name. What you can also do is call the Boards yourself after at least 2-3 business days to check for your results. You will be asked for your social security number and name verification. Then if your results are in, then they will tell you if you passed or not. But keep in mind that once they say you were successful, does not mean you can begin practicing.

If you have taken your board exam, then you do not have to pay to receive your results. I think we paid enough money just to take the test. Don't you?

but how about im registered using my maiden name and i dont provide ssn bec. im before in phils. when i had my att. and now im in us. married and have an ssn but using my married name. when i take nclex rn im using only my passport , that's why im not changing my maiden name to married name. because of lack id, bec. of i dont have a green card yet.

Once you have sat the exam contact the BRN and let them know you have changed your name and that you have a SSN. Ca will not issue you a license without one. Also you can not work until you get your GC and EAD sorted but at least you can get everything ready

Yes we did pay enough, but I mean for the license. In the state I came from you paid for the test then you had to pay $140.00 more for the license once you passed. Does CA make you pay for the license?
