If you will be taking NCLEX and would like to be prayed for, can we start a fourm for this. I know that some folks are not into prayer and I don't want to offend anyone, but I sure need it!
Hi Asteroidcat.......did you joined any NCLEX-RN review courses or you prepared it yourself? Will you plz suggest me whether I can pass the exam without joining any preparation classes?
I have been planning to join a review class even before I graduated nursing school. I could not stress out enough how important it is to join one. I know there are people out there who say that as long as you study, you'll be fine. I don't fully disagree with them, but the thing is NCLEX is more about knowing the content. It is knowing how to ANALYZE the question. This is where the review courses come in. In our school, we had to take the HESI in order to determine our "competency status". Based on our scores, our instructor recommended two review programs: Kaplan and NCSBN. According to her recommendation, if we scored 950 AND higher, NCSBN is enough. This review course is pretty cheap. If I'm not mistaken, it's $50 for a whole online course. If we scored lower than 950, she strongly recommended Kaplan. Since I scored 903, I decided to take Kaplan which, in my opinion, is a pretty good choice. It wasn't cheap though. But since our instructor is also a Kaplan instructor, we only paid $350 instead of the full amount of $499. The course was tough, but it helped me prepare for the exam. I believe 100% of our class took either Kaplan or NCSBN and all of us passed.
Hello,
A little confused here! I took my NCLEX-RN 6/24, got the good pop up, and paid for my quick results - I passed. But a friend of mine who took it just the day before me has already received a letter from PearsonVue saying that she passed (with her picture on it) and got her license in the mail today. Her name is also up on the NY license verification. I have not received anything in the mail, nor is my name up on the website. Is there something wrong with my test results? Are they on hold maybe? I'm very anxious to get my license but I don't know why I haven't received anything.
My prayers for all those preparing to take boards. study, pray and leave it in the hands of God because it is He alone who can take care of it. I take boards this Friday the 8th and will let you how it goes. I beleive in the power of prayer. Good luck to all of you and stay positive. Read Mark 11:24.
Hello all. I would really appreciate any and all well wishes, prayers, candles lit, and/or blood sacrifices in order to help me pass. I take the test tomorrow for the second time. 265 questions the first time... really need a little push to get me over to the pass side. I've been reviewing like crazy but if you would please send some support my way I would really appreciate it!
Thanks!

I just wanted to post a thank you to everyone on these boards. nothing's sure yet, but I got the good pop-up this time and I really have faith in the PVT trick as I got the CC page the first time. Anyways, I could not have passed without the allnurses.com forum. You all have helped me more than you will ever know and I appreciate it so much! good luck to everyone testing in the future! I
Thanks to all who sent out good vibes and prayers!
I passed!!!
For those preparing for their exam...I used Exam Cram (mostly the disk in the back of the book. Doing practice exams starting a few weeks prior to the exam)
Good Luck to those of you looking to take the test and don't get yourself worked up about it.
