Published

Good day pinoy nurses!! Do you think it is practical and worth to take nclex exam considering the current visa retrogression? kindly share your opinions. Thank you:)

No. A waste of time and money if you are not in the process of getting a job in the US anyway.

Thank you!! God bless

Prestige value only to nurses from said country, cousin has it, so must have it too, also pain in the neck when you want to apply to another country and this examination has been passed and you have to declare it and whether or not you got registration along with it as well.

Got it! for example if i will be applying for registration in Australia i need to declare my registration here and in US( if i passed). However on my point of view, taking nclex is also an investment because what if time comes that retrogression is lifted then there's no need to rush to take nclex since I already have US license and i know some states that do not require US SS# like NYC ( Correct me if I am wrong)

A couple of years ago, I was registered to practice nursing in 3 different countries at once. :icon_roll:

that was when I was in the process of moving from the UK to OZ. Now I still have 2...One - an Oz licence coz I need it for work and my PHL licence coz I might go home when I retire and build my own hospital or nurse clinic...so in a way I understand what NursePao mean but...

Like all licences, don't they have an expiration date? Can you just renew a US RN licence like you do in the PHL?
