NCLEX state to state

Nursing Students NCLEX

This may be a stupid question but I have only just started my prereqs for school and don't know all the specifics yet. I live in New Jersey and am thinking of moving to Florida somewhere down the road.

Can anyone tell me the difference, if any, there is on NCLEX from state to state? If I graduate in New Jersey and want to take the NCLEX in Florida....would that be possible? Or would I have to pass it in NJ first before I could take it in another state?

If anyone could fill me in I would greatly appreciate it.

You only take the NCLEX once...yes just once in enough!

So if you go to school in NJ, I would take the NCLEX in NJ and then fill out the paperwork to get your license in FL.

ETA: The NCLEX is the same test no matter what state you test in.

Thanks so much for your help.
