Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So very nervous. This will be my fifth time taking the exam. I have done so many questions reviewed content. I am so worried about medications. Any pointers on how to remember them. Mnemonics do not seem to work for me.

Ok...thank you..and Congratulations

I bought a book that helped me tremendously . I am not a test taker by far. Test taking strategies by saunders I believe is the best book I found. It teaches you how to break the questions down. I truly believe this book helped me pass my boards. Makes you look at the questions in a whole different way. The techniques in the book were not taught to us in school. The book was 32 dollars or you can buy used or kindle version. Believe me it will help tremendously. Remember ABC's, maslows, nursing process.

Did u took uworld also ? If yes how much u got in Assesment ?

I did not do u world.

Specializes in OMFS, Dentistry.

I did Uworld. Got high chance of passing both times but failed NCLEX. Try Lippincott Passpoint... it is much more detailed and tailored to you the test taker

Congratulations!! I am interested in purchasing the book that you mentioned about test taking strategies. Is that the name? Where did you purchase it from?

I failed my Nclex but feel that's mainly is because I'm not a great test taker. So I would love to learn how to break the question down. Thank you!

I purchased the book on Amazon....it is a tremendous help. I recommend it to anyone who is not a good text taker like myself. When I left the test center o felt so much better about myself and the test itself. Nervous only because fear of failure again. But I kept feeling positive. And repeating in my mind ABC's, maslows, nursing assessment. I wish you the best of luck

Yes the name of the book......test taking strategies by saunders. There are other ones available but based on reviews this one I believe is better. So glad I purchased it. Just wished I would of purchased it way before the fifth attempt.

Thanks so much I will definitely purchase it. Have a good day.

So to EMT, RN, AND ETC....who,posted that there was a so called rub about the test being graded twice.....well guess what, you may have thought you shot my hopes out of the sky with your post, NOPE. YOU DIDNT. QUICK RESULTS ARE PASS. BOOM THIS GIRL IS AN RN AND DAM PROUD OF IT. I busted my butt to get and no one was gonna change my mind that day. I know how I felt walking out of that test center that day. A lot different than the previous times. Yep it took me five times. I can bet you I know a smidge more than some of them. You know what 1, 4, 13 times doesnt matter hiw many times you take it. Your still an RN.

Congratulations!!!! You're such inspiration to me and I'm sure many more who are struggling to pass and think because they failed once it may not be possible to become an RN. Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance paid off! I am very happy for you! :)

Now it's my turn to work hard and pass just like you.

Believe me there were times when I wanted to walk away from it, but I had it in my head that nobody or nothing was gonna beat me down. I studied non stop, every where I went I had my phone answering questions from the nclex mastery app. I cannot even tell you how many rationales I wrote down even if I got the question right...I feel more knowledgeable now and confident than I ever felt before. Keep your chin up. I would be willing to send you the book I used if you can email me....I know the struggle I will help anybody out that is going thru the same thing. [email protected].
