Hello. I'm studying for my NCLEX and I currently have the 5th edition of Saunders NCLEX RN. I think that the 5th and 6th edition have the same contents. My question now is if the code given in the new edition (purple book) of the review have different questions compared to the yellow book's review questions in the CD? If it is, I'm planning on purchasing just the code. I don't want to purchase it if it's the same thing as the yellow book's CD questions. Thank you.

Pretty much - the 5th Saunders has the CD, the 6th has online component - I lost my 5ed. CD so I don't know if the question banks match up. I'm only up to chapter 15 and the questions in the end of the section are the same so far. There's an additional critical thinking question at the beginning of each section with rationales, but that's the only significant difference I've seen so far.
You can buy the online part of the Saunders 6ed. questions for $26 dollars if you want to have the most up to date question bank.
Thank you very much for your reply. Just another question about the online component because I heard that it is mostly the same as the CD. What kind of reviews does it offer? The CD includes the pretest -> 6 weeks review schedule, about 5,000 review questions in different forms (Audio questions, video questions, multiple choice, select all that apply, etc.) and 3 audio reviews (Acid-Base, Fluid balance and pharm). Aside from these, does the 6th edition include anything else? Thank you very much!!!
