NCLEX RN 2015

Published

Hey everyone! I told myself once I passed the NCLEX I would come back and tell my story! I graduated from an ASN program in December 2014, I took my boards late January and failed miserably in 75. I was devastated, but at the same time I knew it was no ones fault but my own. Everyone kept telling me "just do practice questions," so that's what I did. I bought the Saunders book and just did questions. I did okay on them, but not great. I didn't have a time line, or a plan. I'd do about 200 questions a day. MY BIGGEST PIECE OF ADVICE IS YES YOU HAVE TO DO PRACTICE QUESTIONS, BUT IF YOU DONT REVIEW CONTENT THOSE PRACTICE QUESTIONS WONT MATTER.

The second time around I purchased hurst review and I HIGHLY recommend it! It really reviews your content in ways that you can understand! It was absolutely amazing! It's also a must that you purchase LaCharity prioritization and delegation! It saved my butt since I had so many priority questions!

I ended up passing the second time around in 83 questions! I got out to my car and did the PVT trick (I know I know don't do it until after 24 hours) but I'm impatient and couldn't wait! I got the good pop up and 24 hours later I continued getting the good pop up. Today I looked on my BON website and there was my license! (I took the Nclex for the second time on Thursday, March 19th!) last piece of advice, don't focus too much on the types of questions your getting, just focus on the question in front of you! I can tell you right now I had MAYBE 10 SATA, not very many compared to what most people say! Most importantly, have a plan, and stick to it, and if you're a repeat taker, don't get discouraged! Tell yourself everyday that you can do it! And you will!

Congratulations!
