Hi I've never posted on this forum before. I am scheduled to take my exam in less than 3 weeks. I am just a bundle of nerves right now. I have a full time job riding on this after I pass. Lots of pressure. I am also traveling 4.5 hours to get to the testing site. As of right now I am doing practice Saunders questions and some of the Kaplan questions on my iPhone. Also doing some ATI questions. I work full time and have 2 young kids. I feel super stressed. Alot is riding on this exam. Help! I need to feel better and reassured. I study but on almost all my practice exams I've been getting 70%. Uggghh what do you need to pass the NCLEX with a definate "pass rate".

My school told me that with Kaplan, if you consistently score above 60%, you should pass NCLEX. I was scoring in the low 60's with my high score being 72 and my low being 53. I passed NCLEX last July after 75 questions. You should do fine. But stressing as you are isn't going to help. During the test, take your time and think through each question. You will see things you have never heard of before. Remember, some of the questions are diagnostic and don't count toward your result. You will not get them all correct. Just relax and let it happen. I know you have a job riding on the result, but if you fail it, the world won't end. You can take it again, but based on how well you are doing with your practice tests, you shouldn't need to. Good luck!
Thank you for your responds. I just purchased the 3 week ncsbn course hoping it will help

I just passed the NCLEX this past Thursday, Jan 24. What you're doing is exactly what it takes. The best advice I've gotten and have given is just keep doing questions. Except that last day before you're sitting for your boards - take that entire day off. Get a good night's sleep and try to relax. I wish you luck!
Just go online to the Ncsbn website and there is an NCLEX review for both RN and pn. I haven't started yet. They are the people that write the test

That's exactly how I felt when I took my test!but don't let your nervousness take over as it's not going to help, especially if you think you did all your best for the preparation. All will just come out of your mind while taking the test! be confident and have faith!Good luck and all the best

Saunders is an awesome prep tool. You need to study a few hours a day, eat well, enjoy your children, sleep well, and breathe in through your nose/out through your mouth. Good luck!!!
