Hi,
I wanted to see if anyone in the San Antonio area would be interested in forming a study group for the NCLEX-RN exam. I plan on retaking the NCLEX-RN asap as I think I failed it again this morning. It shut off at 75 questions but did the pvt only to be taken to the cc screen. I have to get on top of this yet again and could use some help.
Please let me know if you are interested!!

First I'm sorry about the exam I know how you must feel. I too have failed once but I'm not giving up! I would love to study. Not sure if you are working or not and what days or times...I do have a job during the day and honestly dreading this test. I have Hurst review and book, LaCharity, Kaplan Q&A. When I failed the first time I was just doing ATI but I wasnt too fond of it and i did have Hurst at the time but didnt know how to incorporate it with the ATI so didnt use it so i figured I would get everything else under the sun as far as questions go and study Hurst along with questions Lol. Anywho what study materials have you used/or are using? I think I need my help in content thats why I'm doing Hurst for content. I would do Saunders but I think i would get too overwhelmed with that book. We can do this. Oh and I've been a long time lurker on here and when I saw your post I had to registar bc I do not want to fail this test again.
Thanks for responding! I am also dreading this test again.
I have lots of materials: Kaplan 2012-13, Saunders 5th ed, Hesi review 3rd ed, LaCharity 2nd ed, Lippencott's content review and their q&a book, the made incredibly easy book, and prob more with my stack of textbooks. I know, its a lot.
I am not working as no one wants a prego BSN without an rn license. So, I can pretty much make any schedule unless my hubby starts missing me, lol.
I've been studying well with Saunders and LaCharity, but somehow I still havent managed to pass. It's very heartbreaking to have to do this again and again, especially with a baby due soon.
Hopefully more people respond to this, any help or advice is greatly appreciated! What can I/we do, to prepare ourselves better? I feel like I've done well, but still aren't successful. This is getting increasingly stressful and expensive!
:'(
Oh congrats on baby! I was prego during nursing school and had my son 2 weeks before I took my exam. I just felt so frustrated, exhausted, overwhelmed and doesnt help that I'm not a great test taker. I have real bad anxiety. My son just turned 1 yay! so I'm ready to retake. I really did feel ready and prepared when I sat to take the exam but not ready if that makes any sense. I think understanding the questions for me a little better and reasons "why". I think I have to apply everything and then I will be able to have that "light bulb" go off and will understand better. Most of my questions consistented of priority and I'm just like they all seem bad so who would I see first and "why". Thats why I got the LaCharity book so I can study that more. If you want I can send you the Hurst info I have because it really is a great review for content and breaks it down easily. Other than that I think you have some great materials. No one else probably will respond its hard to get people together to even study but take a look at the Hurst bc you may be able to self study with that, LaCharity, and that study guide thing they have on this forum. It's nice I can send you that also if you dont have it. Congrats on the baby again and we can do this! WE WILL DO THIS!
Not letting me PM...I guess you have to have so many messages first :/
Say congrats to a bunch of people, lol
Is there anyone else that would like to join us? It would be great to have more people to study with! We have already shared over 30 files of study material and plan to meet on Monday sometime, please feel free to msg either one of us. :)
