i finally scheduled nclex rn on october 15, 2010. i hope third time's the charm! i started doing pda by lacharity and so far i am doing 50%. the questions are a bit hard. i am working full-time and i try to squeeze in some studying at work as i have a 16 month old son. i try to review once he sleeps at night. can anyone suggest a study plan? do i have to start with saunders cd?

my too have one toddler very hard to study as she is not letting me sit on computer. she comes and wants to sit on computer table. but i try to study when she is sleeping. do you have comprehensive saunders cd. if you want we can make study plan starting this cd and study together.
hello everyone, even m planning to take my exams probably next month... been doing questions from 3500 and saunders wid kaplan...dont wanna give up, bt my mind is almost...it sucks when i cant study bt i want to study since m giving next month....any advices and encouragement----

I haven't schedule my test yet, I may ended up testing in Octuber I want to make sure I know my core of content WELL. It will be second time testing. I am a foreign nurse too, 8 years out of school. I am doing hurst review online, Lacharity book, davis CD, saunder cd and just got 3300 nursing bullets, it seem to be a good book. Good luck to everybody!
I'd like to join this group too. Lots of encouragement is good. It gives you a feeling of fulfillment. I am a foreign trained nurse too. This will be my third take. My first take in 2004 and second take in 2006 was tough. I was working 12 hours a day. I only had a few study hours and I depend on my stored knowledge from school. Well, it didnt work! With much frustration, I procrastinate, put NCLEX RN aside and live life simple. But this NCLEX keeps taunting me. To date I have 2 siblings who graduated BSN as their second profession and had passed NCLEX the first take. They both have good paying jobs now too. I'm happy for them, absolutely! My parents just tend to compare me to them. Worst, they call me to mention my siblings accomplishments/ what they have acquired, etc. Its annoying! discouraging! And makes me feel inferior. So I try to stay away from them as much as I can. See what the NCLEX exam has done......hhhmm
On the other hand, at present, I have a 2 year old boy and I'm a stay home mom. Its not easy to study around him. So I take every opportunity to study and do some questions whenever he is asleep. Also, my husband needs my help. The economy has made his job very unstable. If he loses his job we are doom! I really need to jump in to help. Nursing - healthcare jobs are recession proof jobs now a days. We need to pass, get a job and support our family.
So passing the NCLEX RN is very crucial for me now. I have to buckle down, get serious, concentrate and really study well. Also, we have to stay positive that we will ALL pass.....

im hoping i have the time to do the case study too. my target to finish PDA is one week, but so far im only in chapter 6 . next would be be the saunders CD and last will be the Q trainer. sure, would love to have study buddy. i keep on checking all nurses all the time as it helps me keep motivated. thank you all :)
HI, i want to join this group! I am as well an international grad. And I need encouragement and advice from people who are also been on what I am goin' through right now, and who has a tight faith to our GOD.
I need to know what are your strategies? My exam will be this coming October, and is there anyone who could helpo me with meds? coz that's my weakest point. I have a friend who took the exam last month and He said there are alot of medication question and its side effect?
I am so frustrated right now, in few weeks time, I'm taking the exam and it seems like I only know few things. :-/

Just popping in to let you guys know that I have scheduled my nclex for September 9th. I'm super nervous and excited and scared all rolled up into one. I've got 30 days to study hardcore before the big day. I already fell sick just thinking about it.
I still don't know how many questions I will do per day or in a week. I do know that I want to build my self up to taking 265 questions in one sitting as that is the most questions you can get.
