Gold2010

I hear ya Gold2010. Alot of my graduating classmates are RN's already with a few stragglers (myself included). I was feeling a little apprehensive about not taking an nclex prep class but I cannot afford it. I too have been asked by people whether I've taken the nclex or when will I take it. I've been working as a nursing assistant for about 8 months. I quit my full-time good paying job to finish the last semester of nursing school and to set myself apart from other prospects. At this point I have to say that I don't regret quitting my full-time job...I just hope that in the future I don't feel like I do regret it.

So far I've been on two interviews, the first one I thought went well. I later found out that they said that it seemed like I wouldn't be comfortable working 12 hour shifts and that I don't handle stress well. IDK what they were thinking ( I stated in my interview that I was looking for 12 hour shifts)... anyone who finishes nursing school with all that it entails and still remain sane can handle stress!! I just chalked it up as that place not being the place for me.

The second interview I felt that we had good rapport as we had some things in common. I'm waiting on the verdict from that. I did however express to them that I don't mind working 12 hour shifts and in fact I was looking for 12 hour shifts.

I cant' really complain though because at least I'm getting interviews...I know that there are people out there that haven't even gotten an interview. I also am not freaking out since I don't even have my license yet.

I'll keep everyone posted as to the verdict of my interview.

Happy studying

Hi everyone

Just wondering how long it took you guys to receive your ATT to register for the exam?

I'm a Canadian new grad Rn and applied for the state of Minnesota. Accessing my account on website, I can see that my application was accepted like 3 weeks ago yet still waiting for the ATT number.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers

hi it depends from state to state.

Will depend on state and what their requirements are if you trained outside the US. Pearsonvue will issue ATT once they get the OK from the state and you have paid pearsonvue fees

Thanks silverdragon for the most detailed information.
