SATA as the last question means nothing. As for 68 questions versus any other number, it is simply the number where you reached a point that the test determined that no additional questions would lead to a pass or fail.

Thanks for your response! You probably are right but I’ve read someplace people talk about last question being SATA and how it plays a role in pass or fail at times.
I had about 15 SATA and the exam ended at 86 question. The exam was full of priority questions. I am in California and we don’t have quick results here.
California does offer quick results for NCLEX RN now
California candidates may access their unofficial results two business days after taking the exam, by purchasing Quick Results from Pearson VUE. You can order and pay for these results through your online Pearson VUE account, selecting the option “Quick Results” from the tool bar on the Home Page.

Did anyone pass with 68 questions, last question being a SATA? Under the new rule we have!
My exam stopped at 68.
