NCLEX-RN meds-how to study?

I'm in a unique position, taking the NCLEX-RN in June, though I've been out of nursing for 20 years. I have to retake the exam to be licensed again as an RN. I want to have it and study more along the lines of natural and alternative health. I must be crazy, but have decided to do this, and of course I am overwhelmed with the amt. of intense study that this will require! I have the right study books (recommended here) but I am thinking "How am I going to get all these meds straight?" Yeah, I know a few handfuls, but the great majority I've never heard of. Does anyone have some help to offer other than just memorize them? I'm writing them out in categories and have a med book of 276 meds! Thanks a bunch for any ideas you may have!:redpinkhe

Check out the facts thread at the top of the forum. There are lists of suffixes to memorize and other hints for studying meds. Go through the different classes of drugs and learn the main points and one prototype for each class. If you have more time, then learn more than one prototype drug. Impossible to learn all of them, so try to get the important info.

Thank you! I did find something there and some med notes at the ICU site: http://www.icufaqs.org/

Where do I find this at? I am having difficulties locating it.
