NCLEX-RN in California about to expire

Hi. I am a nurse from the Philippines who already passed the IELTS, the CGFNS and the NCLEX (California State Board of Nursing). I am being petitioned by an employer in California and has been waiting for the packet 4 (under EB3) for almost two years now. I took up the NCLEX in 2006. The California State Board of Nursing is requiring me to have a social security number first before being issued a license. Since the retrogression is still on-going (my priority date is August 2006) and it's impossible for me to have a social security number now that I am still here in my country, I am afraid that my nclex would reach it's expiration date which is three years from the date the result was released. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening? I cannot imagine myself taking the nclex again really. I do not want to go through with that again please .

Your three year letter is about to expire, the NCLEX exam results do not expire. When your file is destroyed, then the results go with it; and that is what expires. Not the results themselves, but with no file, the results will be able to be found anywhere.

Please take the time to do some reading here, we already have several threads on what you will need to do, and that is going to involve going thru licensure in another state that issues a hard license to be able to retain your passing results.

However, please do not start the process yet, as licenses also have expiration dates and they need to be renewed. You just need to start 6 months out from the expiration given on the letter.
