NCLEX-RN CA results

Thanks Suzanne! I am a foreign grad nurse and I am very lucky then that I have passed the nclex for the first time! :)

To dream1987: Suzanne is right. You have to have SSN so that the BON can issue you your license # and receive your permanent license. In addition, if you don't have SSN you will not be able to see your name listed on the BON website.

I have looked at the CA website and I don't see my name there yet. But the letter that I have received - a confirmation that I have passed and they asked for my SSN which I have given them before along with my application but now I have to give it to them again for me to be able to receive my permanent license. So will let u guys know when I received my permanent license.

Congrat's! When did you take the exam? I took my exam jan. 7 here ca with ssn and I didnot see my name on website? Did you received the letter first before you see your name on the website? Coz I know for LPN was like that, did you take nclex rn? Im losing hope now its my second week. I stopped at 81,most of my question was priority, 4-5 sata, with meds.

Hi, Babsi! Thanks! I took my NCLEX on Dec. 17, 2008 and got my results thru mail on December 30, 2008 and it was just a letter of notification that I have passed NCLEX and they were asking my SSN (which I gave them together with my application before - that was dated December 26, 2008 and was able to received it 4 days later and I am also from California. Maybe it got delayed because of the holidays at that time.

Anyway, I sent them again my SSN like first week of January '09 and until now my name is still not on the website. Maybe it takes time to process the license but I am patiently waiting for it! At least my waiting now is not as PAINFUL as it was (NCLEX results) :bluecry1:

Don't lose hope... Just try to be patient and keep yourself busy so that you will not think much about your NCLEX results as I know it will drive you nuts! :no:

Good luck! I will keep you guys updated with regards to my license...

Hi guys! Got some very good announcement to make! Guess what? I have received my permanent license from CA! The date of issue is on January 20, 2009! Seems like a very special day since it was the day of the inauguration of our new president Barack Obama! What an historic day! I will never forget this date for the rest of my life!

I am sssoooo happpy! My name is already appeared on CA BON. It's a very nice feeling to see your name in there! :)

Good luck to everybody who are still waiting for the results and license. Just be patient, ok... and just relax.

And to give an idea for everybody with regards to the time frame, from nclex day to the results to issuance of my license. Here it is:

December 17, 2008 - Took NCLEX

December 30, 2008 - Received letter of notification from CA that I have passed

- Required to send SSN

- the letter came on a small envelope with only 1 page

paper

January 09, 2009 - Sent my SSN to CA

January 20, 2009 - Received License

- My name appeared on CA BON Website

congrats to future nurse! so i took my test on nov 11 and now its nov 21 and still nothing! im worried like crazy! i stopped at 105 questions and i THINK i got the last question right..lol not sure..idk im losing hope..somebody please tell me theres still a chance

hi dc2mendoza! thank you! don't lose hope... i know the level of anxiety that you are feeling right now but hey as long as the results are still up in the air, there still hope. also, you seemed to feel that you've answered the last question correctly - this is good! i felt the same too when i took mine and even remembered my last question very well and checked the book and it was right! :yeah:

also it's been like 10 days have passed since you took your nclex. so nothing to worry. are you living within the states or overseas? it may take a while if you live overseas. so, try to relax for now and save your energy for the big celebration! :coollook:

i took my examination last nov.14th 09 but still i didnt receive any letter yet, i did the trick thingy but i guess i failed coz i went straight to the credit card info, so i went o BRN to check m y name, but it wasnt there. im losing hope so what i'm tryin to do is to read my notes (review) again. i got 75 questions i feel that i really failed. time is killing me i want to see my result now :'(

Hi Ishi! Oh it's not too a long a wait considering you just took your exam on Nov. 14 (2 weeks ago). Also consider where you are living right now. If you live overseas, then it will take some time - overseas mails are very slow. ALSO, are you an american or at least have Social Security Number (SSN) and in which state are you taking the exam for? Is it California? If it is, then you will NOT be able to look your name (if you passed) on their website UNLESS you have provided them your SSN. Of course if you failed, then definitely you will not be able to see your name there.

hi future nurse 25. i'm in missouri right now. i didnt know if i put down my ssn on my application. its been i year since i mailed it to CA. its my first time to take my NCLEX last nov. 14th. i did the trick thingy but honestly im not relyin on that one... my dreams keep haunting me LoL yeah, for real, i was dreaming about this result. one time i dreamt that i failed but im gettin letters with cards inside of it and last night i dreamt thaT i passed. God, its killing me... :'(
