NCLEX review and Virtual ATI

Published

I graduated from nursing school about 3 weeks ago. I've been partaking in the virtual ATI for 6 weeks. I took the ATI Comprehensive Predictor proctored exam before I graduated as a requirement and received a 99% predicted probability of passing the NCLEX RN on the first attempt. I have been working with my virtual coach and took all assessments I was told to. I just took the comp predictor for the green light to take the NCLEX (not required but the virtual ATI was included in my tuition) I didn't meet the benchmark score they wanted which was a minimum of a 92% predicted probability of passing the NCLEX. I had a bad day basically where I couldn't find quiet study time. I have received consistent scores on my assessments in the 70-90% range which is well above their benchmark for passing. My coach told me I needed to remediate for 2 weeks before attempting the comp predictor again, HOWEVER I am scheduled to take my NCLEX in 9 days and my ATI coach wants me to reschedule. I personally don't feel like I am absorbing anything from virtual ATI because the assessments are the same questions in many cases and I can recall the answers from previous attempts. I am not getting the exposure I need to different questions and question formats in general. What I am wondering is if anyone out there has used the virtual ATI and still took the NCLEX without receiving the green light from the ati coach and pass the NCLEX? I am confident with my knowledge and understanding of the nursing process, safety infection control , basic care and comfort, general disease process and nursing intervention, etc. I was planning on using the next 9 days to take as many questions possible as I could through ati, Saunders, and hogan and reviewing anything I'm not familiar with. I just need some advice and feedback =/

My school did the ATI too, we did it often for the past couple weeks before the graduation, i passed THE LAST ATI with 96% it says that i would be passing for the NCLEX, at first i have no idea what to study, so only did ATI questions and a saunders study guide, took my NCLEX and unfortunately i failed. :( so for my opinion doing just ATI question did not help me at all..

Did you do the virtual ATI as well?

Anyone else have suggestions?

Well for me I used ATI in school but when I got out of school I never used it again. I have failed three times the nclex pn because I hated the ATI ... I went back to my school and ask for help so tried of failing the test. They have me the VATI now I am on plan for 6 weeks . I have already have my paper work turned in but what they told me in my VATI is to do what they say ... And if I fail after I have follow the plan then they will let me return again for free until I pass ...but I got to do as they say

The only time I disliked ATI in school was when it counted as a big chunk of my grade. But overall, it was helpful as far as comprehending the content. I have been using VATI since 2 weeks before I graduated and now I am at 6 weeks of overall review with my coach. The only thing that bothers me is the assessments are practically the same and I begin to almost memorize the questions and answers. I take my NCLEX RN may 7th, practically a week from today. I dont know if any one has any additional resources that they could suggest in the last few days I have left before my big day. I am solely concentrating on test taking strategies and completing as many questions as I can to get as much practice as I can. Im just super anxious.
