Hello everyone,
If you really want to pass the NCLEX, and be fully confident that you can do it, then you HAVE to take the Mark Klimek NCLEX review. It might be a bit of a drive, but it's worth it! I just got back from his class and feel very confident that I can pass the NCLEX. His review is a weekend chock full of NCLEX strategies and invaluable advice on what NCLEX test writers are looking for (and he speaks from personal experience ). I wish I had taken this the first time I took the NCLEX, I would have passed it on the first try. However, haven taken the NCLEX once, I could say with 100% certainty that what he teaches REALLY DOES help you pass the NCLEX.
If you are in the Cleveland, OH area, you know that there are not many options in NCLEX review. Kaplan is ok but not very personal (they are a standardized company, teaching about a standardized exam...I'm not good with "standardized" anything, some people are though). The second option...well, if you're cool w/ being demeaned, verbally abused and, told how "dumb" you are then that might be an option for you. I'm not good w/ confidence killer, I need a confidence builder. Also, just doing 100's of questions w/o REALLY knowing why I keep getting things wrong, doesn't sit well w/ me either. Oh sure, I can be told that it's the right answer, but I NEED to know WHY is it a right answer in question 309 and then question 558 comes around and now I'm wrong
Mark Klimek erases the "mystery" out of NCLEX and leaves you feeling good about yourself, refreshed and confident that you know what you are being asked. Even if you have to spend $50 for gas and two nights @ a hotel/motel (go w/ friends and split a room)...IT'S STILL CHEAPER!!!! And, most importantly, YOU GET A LOT OUT OF IT!!! it's all about CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE that you can do it. When I came back home, I reviewed what I learned in class (you come home w/ two very helpful books), applied it to the ATI and Kaplan exams and I scored higher than ever!
I know this is a long post, but I'm so excited to know that there are options out there and, I feel that everyone should be aware of this great resource!
Good luck everyone

I think I was in your class!! I also took Mark Klimek's review last weekend. I was really hesitant to spend the money on a review course, but I relented. I am so glad I did. It was worth it to keep my sanity and increase my confidence. I am prepared to go into the NCLEX tomorrow (aagh!!) and kick some butt!
He's well worth the money and the travel if he is coming to an area near you.

Hi Liz...just checked this thread (busy studying for the NCLEX lol)...how cool!!! glad that others feel the same about Klimek :) how did you do on the NCLEX??? I scheduled mine for a little later (I'm trying to incorporate ATI and Klimek...I paid for both, I might as well use them).
Hi there :)
don't worry...we'll get through this
YOU KNOW WE'LL DO IT!!!!!!
4hope,
Well, I passed! I'm an RN!
Klimek gave me the confidence and motivation I needed to go into the test. I am glad I payed for the course and I'm glad I went.
I will say, though, that studying doesn't help.
But, don't let that stress you out!! I did use many of the things that Klimek taught, hypo/hyperthyroidism, SIADH/DI, acid-base stuff, etc.--keeping that straight in my head. I even used his psych question reasoning on one of the questions.
ATI--our school used ATI for every class we took. So, I am very familiar with them and used them to study.
My opinion? Klimek gave me courage, ATI was good practice answering questions. In the world of NCLEX, you need both. Keep practicing with practice questions. Read Klimek's motivational info and advice on question answering. But trust me, when you get to NCLEX, your best defense is to BREATHE.
You will do great. You have been preparing yourself all this time. You will be an RN!!
Good luck to you!!
CONGRATS!!!!!:hpygrp::ancong!:
Way to go!! You made it!!We will too, pray for us!
Did you had a lot of SATA?
I had 3-4 SATA, 2 med math fill in the blank, and one drag & drop sequencing.
Thank you! I suppose you only had 75 questions.I hope that we will be lucky too.Good luck in your new carrier!.

As someone who is often asked by students to recommend an NCLEX review class in Cleveland, can you give me some hints as to whom you are referring to as the "bad" choice, without divulging his/her name(s)?
well...this "team of two" is quite well known in this area (other than Kaplan, they're the only option...or so we've been told). I'm not sure if "bad" is a correct word...but, I would definitely NOT recommend anyone due to honesty/integrity and legal issues (they actually brag about being investigated! how crazy is that! but, many know the truth behind that too).
So, if that works for you...well, go for it. But, I know so many who have not yet taken the exam that felt like they were forced to go that route. And those who did not pass the first time are really getting taken advantage of (lets not mention if you're a "foreigner" then they really have you...highest quote I heard was 6K!! now that's outrageous).
This post is for those I just mentioned above. Klimek takes you as you are and really gives you the tools you need to feel confident and succeed :)
