NCLEX results in CA - How long to wait?!

Published

Hello Everyone! Did anyone else in CA take their NCLEX on Saturday, August 11th (6 days ago)? I have so many friends who had taken their exams earlier than I, and had their results posted anywhere from 2 days to 7 days later... I'm afraid if my name doesn't pop-up on the BRN website by tomorrow, I'm gonna have a meltdown! LOL. Would all my fellow Californians please post the date they took the exam and if they received results, how long it took?! Also, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm a 11th person too and I've got nothing either. Hang in there I'm hoping tomorrow is our day!!

I took NCLEX RN exam on 8/11/2012 and since then i don't see my name on the CA BRN website. I checked PVT got a good pop up. I called several times the board and they said transmission problem from the pearsonvue system. i called pearson vue and they said they did transmit my result. It is really frustrating to wait so long.

If it doesn't show up tomorrow, I may have a nervous breakdown!...

I called today and they still dont have my results. she told me to give it another week!!!

I understand your frustration..i"m still waiting too. But I thought the BON updates only Mon-Fri..Would your name show up on Sat?

Oh nevermind..if they update mon-fri, that includes today and I assume results can still post Sat. I guess I have lost sleep over this long wait lol. But for the sake of your peace of mind, allow your name to show up after the wknd.

Friday's update will show up tomorrow. It's always a day behind! :-/

Oh I see..I edited my last post. Best wishes

Thanks, Chosen... Good luck to you, too! I'll let you all know what happens tomorrow morning!

I think I remember some of my classmates getting their results on a Saturday...

@titan2009 Another week?! That's crazy. I'm going to try calling a little later. Every operator says something different. Does anyone know how long you have to wait to re-register for the NCLEX if you fail? My friend who passed the exam last month called pearson when she was waiting for her results and they said it would have to be 4 weeks until you can schedule a new one because they need the results. Is this true? I'm starting not to feel so confident with the PVT. (She got her results in 5 business days, by the way).

So I just spoke to a really nice lady at the BON who seemed to know what she was talking about. According to her an email has just been sent out to all the operators regarding the server issue going on between pearson and the BON. She told me that the server that is having the problem is the one that receives results from pearson and receives license renewals, so it's a big issue not only for us but RNs renewing their licenses as well. She told me that my file was complete and that the computer showed my exam date but the results have not yet arrived. She said the server has been having problems for weeks and that they are trying to fix it, and that results are being inputed randomly which is why people are finding out at different times, I guess. She said it could take anywhere from 10-15 days from the date that you took it to either see our name on the BON or to get the letter mailed to you. Guess we'll just have to keep waiting!

You have to wait 45 days to retest. I honestly think the PVT is correct. Ive had to repeat it, and it took me directly to the cc page before i got my results in the mail. I repaid for my test before i got my ATT. My ATT was delayed because i wasnt eligible thru the state because i needed to redo my finger prints, So im pretty sure wed be able to pay if we failed.
