NCLEX REGISTRATION PROCESS

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone,

I am currently a nursing student in Atlanta, GA and will be graduating on May 2020. I have troubling and understanding the process of applying for NCLEX. Does anyone know the process and willing to share step-by-step? Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello my friend! How you been doing? ?

I literally checked the PearsonV schedule everyday but the earliest date I see right now is in September. I even checked nearby states but no luck ?

Last week they opened a test date on May 24, but I did not take it because it was too soon.

Hi! I am doing well. How about you? How is studying going?

Oh no, that is awful. At my university, our degrees have not been conferred yet, so we have not been able to send our transcripts to get our ATT. Our department is also not sending a list of names to the BON until degrees are conferred as well. Therefore, I am expecting not to receive my ATT for another 2-3 weeks at least.

What states have you looked at? I saw another post on here that said someone was able to schedule a time on the 1st of June in NC. It is kind of far, but I also have no clue what else to do if dates do not start opening up. I am suppose to start my job on July 13th.

I have been so stressed lately and binge studying Uworld. I heard Uworl is harder than NCLEX, but some also said NCLEX is harder. I am so anxious and confused ?

Good new: I just schedule my exam today for June 8th! They opened up a few days in June.

How is your studying going?

I just seriously started studying last week. I was doing a few Kaplan QBank questions previously but just transitioned to UWorld! I finally got my ATT today and scheduled for the end of June! That was the only date that I thought I could be ready by, however, the testing center is 4 hours away!

Hi everybody. I'm also from GA and was wondering if anyone knows how long the wait times are to sit for the NCLEX. Some people I spoke to said June is taken up. I'm worried there aren't going to be many spots available in the next two or three months. Is anyone driving really far to get a test spot?

Dates are very scarce. As of now, I plan to travel 4 hours away for the end of June! I just got my ATT today and the only dates available were May 28th or June 5th. The next availability isn’t until September!

Oh my goodness, 4 hours ? but anything for the NCLEX as long as we passed! I heard so many good things about UWorld. I hope it will be our life savior. I have about 500 questions left. I wrote down all rationales, including the ones I got right. The hospital also changed my start date to a month later. I think its because they understand it is hard to find a date to take NCLEX. Did that happened to you also?

I know, so far. But I didn’t want to wait until September to take it at a center closer to me! OMG, you’re almost done! Did you get the one with the self assessment? I have also been writing down the rationales and it has helped me tremendously! I’ve also been jumping back to the Kaplan QBank because Kaplan questions are really hard to me and my scores have improved! My job has no mentioned pushing the start date back. If you don’t mind sharing, what hospital will you be working at?

I will definitely be thinking of you on the 8th, I hope you do so well!

Yes! I do about 60 questions per day! My anxiety is like skyrocket just thinking about the NCLEX.

I hope to give you good new on June 8th and I will certainly share with you my experience! I have accepted job offer at Wellstar. We supposed to start in July 20th, but it got pushed back a month now ?

I heard Kaplan questions are like the NCLEX because it is short and vague. But Kaplan rationales is like...soooo short! Do you listen to Mark K audios as well?

I’ve been doing about 100 a day so far and then going back of the reading over the rationales that I have written down! I can only imagine how nervous you are! I’m very anxious to take the test and I still have a month left! I’ve been checking everyday to see if any new dates come up and there has been absolutely nothing! Oh I agree, Kaplan rationales are crappy. I’ve heard that the NCLEX is more similar to UWorld than Kaplan! And I did not. I am only doing the practice questions and rationales because that has proven to be the best way for me to study material. I have a friend that listened to them prior to accesses UWorld and it has helped her a lot!

Kaplan be like "This is not the correct answer because it is not the best." :I

Do you use Saunders book as well? I have it but it is so thick. I stopped it after I got UWorld.

I recently posted on FB asking people who have taken NCLEX using UWorld to see which one is more challenging, and it seems like UWorld is more challenging!

LOL, that’s very accurate! I do not use the Saunders book either. We had to do the live Kaplan class as well as all of the question trainers and remediate for at least 30 minutes for my nursing program! So once I completed those, I purchased UWorld and have just been learning off the rationales! I’m very interested to see how it goes for you! I feel like the NCLEX is such a big question mark when it comes to possible content!

Hello! I am so glad I found this thread because my school did not go over the process for applying for our license as well and I am connnnnfuuuuussssed LOL. I registered for the background check, registered for Pearson, and mailed my application to the board. How long until I get the O.K to fingerprint? I don’t graduate until December 15, but I wanted to do everything as early as possible because of COVID-19. Any help is appreciated:-)
