NCLEX 75 questons Wed. and name on BON today :-)

Still cant access Vue for quick results yet, but assuming if I have a license ## after my name on BON I passed :) Quick Vue worked for me yday.

Info that helped me pass, first-time taker, the Kaplan Q bank, took it daily for 2 weeks, highest scores 60-70s. I thought I failed when I took NCLEX, but did what the free Kaplan class I registered for told me, went really slow with first 15 questions to try and get above the line so that if I got many wrong later they were higher level, and it worked :-)

meant took test Tues. afternoon, name on BON y'day p.m. pending and with license ## today :-)

I took the test this morning and I'm wondering how long it will take to be posted on BON?

That is a good strategy, to really focus to try to do well on the first questions in order to put yourself above the passing line. I will remember that when I am taking my test next month :)

I took it Monday, 75 questions and my name just appeared yesterday on the BON! The first 15 questions don't really "count" but will establish if the following questions are at, below or above passing level. If you can get you difficulty level way above the line it won't matter if you miss every other one as long as you are above that line. You can get every question correct but if the difficulty level is below the line you still won't pass. The computer adaptive process is confusing but really focus on getting your first 15 "practice" questions right!

Oh hm. I didn't know that? Is this with LPN? That's the one I have to take in a week. So the first 15 set your placement already above the passing standard line? If you answer most or all correctly?

to clarify, the first 15 are not practice questions, throughout the exam 15 of the questions that you get are research questions thst the ncsbn is trying out, those don't count against you but they are not the first 15 questions that you get, they are scattered throughout the exam and there is no way to know what those questions are, but its true, start off strong to get yourself above the passing line. if you have kaplan access there is a video that explains how the test works. kaplan told our class the same thing, you want to get the first few questions right to be above the passing line, then if u get every other wrong u are still passing.

Oh ok. Thank u. No I do not have Kaplan unfortunately. :/ so then what happens if you don't do as well on ur first 15?
