i took the test last saturday and just recieved the news that i failed. needless to say today has been really long and tough to get through. i hate that i cant go back and see the questions i got wrong on the test to see my flawed logic. id like to run one by you guys that sticks in my head and see what you guys would have done.
the question was a priority question asking which patient entering the er will you attend to first.
questions arent word for word but are very close.
i immediatley eliminated c and d and then was lead by my critical think to first assess the patient with singed nose hairs and hoarness. i figured this patient may have smoke inhilation from a fire and could potentially have an issue with airway or breathing. like i said i failed the nclex to my disappointment so apparently my critical thinking skills are about as sharp as a donkey. let me know what you think.
