NCLEX Practice Questions

Published

I have a question about NCLEX practice questions and how they translate to the scores on the actual Excelsior exams. Do your scores on practice questions translate pretty evenly with your exam scores? Or are your actual exam scores ending up a higher (or lower) percentage than your practice questions.?

I've been taking the Excelsior practice exams, I scored a 71 on LS 1 Form B and figured I needed to study more. After a bit more study, all I have to track my test preparedness with is NCLEX practice Qs. (Mostly Saunders) I'm scoring between 65-75% on them. Is that good enough? I'm terrified at the possibility of failing my test by just a few points.

A big thank you to anyone who can shed some light on this! My test date is 8/25.

SG101 says that a score in the 70's on the practice exams are usually sufficient to pass. I averaged high 60s and mid 70s and got all a's and b's except for anatomy which was like 50 & 52 but I passed with an a.

Well to answer my own question, it seems your scores on Saunders practice questions correlate pretty well to the score you will get on the exam. I passed the LS1 exam today with a C.

On to LS 2!
