I will be taking the NCLEX-RN next week and would like to know how similar it is to the NCLEX-PN. I took the NCLEX-PN in December 2012 and passed with the minimum questions in under 45 minutes and had not studied for it at all. I have barely studied at all for the NCLEX-RN because I have been so busy finishing up school. My school does ATI and so I have the ATI virtual tutor that I can do but the study plan they gave me is 6 weeks long and I only have a week to study. I also have the Saunders and Kaplan NCLEX-RN books. So basically what I am wanting to know is if the NCLEX-RN is significantly harder than the PN and out of the 3 resources I have- ATI, Saunders and Kaplan which one should I focus my limited amount of studying time on? Thanks!

They told us that depending on our predictor score we should only have to study approximately 2 hrs a day for x-amount of weeks to prepare for NCLEX. It was something like 90% and above would be 2 weeks, 80% 3 weeks, etc. I would definitely take a practice test or two if you didn't do the ATI predictor and see where you stand. If you're doing well then go with your gut. Good luck!
