NCLEX-PN 2018

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hola!

I just took the NCLEX this past Monday, 4/2/2018. I finished my LPN program about 3 weeks ago. I took about a week off with no studying whatsoever. I got my ATT 3/26/2018 and scheduled the NCLEX for April 2nd. I studied for a week straight, answering at least 100 questions a day. I used two different review books, can't remember the names off the top of my head. I got to the testing center an hour early and did a little more studying in the parking lot lol. During the test, I did not feel good about it AT ALL. I swear, probably 50-60% of my test was SATA. I tried to stay positive because I've read that if you get a lot of SATA that means you're doing really well. It was tough though because I feel like I never get those right. After question 85, my test shut off. At that point, I was really freaking out. I went straight home to do the PVT. I covered my eyes after I clicked "Submit Order." As I peeked through my fingers I saw that I got the good popup. I couldn't believe it. I was sure that I failed. I was still hesitant to get excited. I kept doing the PVT every couple hours, worried that it might change. It never did. :) This morning I went on the Florida Dept of Health website to check if my exam results were available. After exactly 24 hours past my test time, my score showed up as "Passed." At this point, I was ecstatic!! I kept checking the FBON website to see if I got my license number and that didn't pop up til about 6hours later. I still can't believe it. It feels amazing to have accomplished this goal that I've had for years. :D

Hello congratulations on passing !! I'm graduating Thursday April 19 and plan on taking nclex mid may! I had a question for you how did you do on your hesis at Lpn school ? Did you feel as that mirrored how you would do on nclex ? I'm also doing uworld to help me prepare

My school did not use the HESI. We used ATI which predicts your percentage of passing the NCLEX. I had a 98-99% for my entire program. On my final ATI Comprehensive exam, I got a 98% chance of passing the NCLEX. I think all the practice tests and proctored exams definitely helped me be prepared. Honestly though, after I graduated I didn't even look at any ATI material. I just used the 2 review books and looked through quizlet.com. ;)

Hi guys! I just took my NCLEX- PN earlier today. Most of my questions as far as I remember are SATA, literally no computations. I was really nervous coz my test shut off @ 85 questions. I've heard it's either I did really good or bad. After 2 hours, I tried that PVT trick (like registering again to take the test), but it didn't go through and had a good pop up. I did it again after another 2 hours and same result. How accurate is that PVT trick? Is it too early to check it? I'm nervous, I feel like I did terrible but still hoping I passed that test.

I've heard the PVT trick is pretty accurate. It was accurate for me. I've also heard some people got the bad popup and paid another fee, but ended up passing, so a false negative. I have never heard of someone getting a false positive. So, it sounds like you indeed passed. I felt the same way and walked out of the testing center thinking I bombed it. But, here I am almost 3 weeks later working as an LPN. :) Good luck to you and I hope congratulations are in your future!!

Hi! I took my NCLEX PN (second atttempt) on April 19th in CA and got the good pop up!! Woohoo lol have any of you received your letters yet? I'm seriously thinking i should just drive up to Sacramento myself! I know its barely been a week but i want to start looking for jobs!!

I found out yesterday that I passed. I did PVT trick before and it worked for me. I registered to breeze right after the test. Then after few days, the drop down options change. Yesterday, it showed VN Initial application for licensure, I chose it and I was able to pay for my License. i called breeze after I paid. She asked for my social sec no. and verified if I passed. She told me just wait for my license. That's how I found out that I really passed.

Has anyone here used uworld? I'm scheduled to test in 3 weeks and extremely nervous just graduated April 19

I used Uworld. Just know also lab values and the responsibilities of RNs, LVNs, and UAPs. That will help you too.

What do you mean the drop options change?

Under Manage your applications, there's an option Vocational Nurse Initial application for licensure. When you click that, it will allow you to pay for your license or you can call them instead of going to Sacramento.

Thank you for this! I just called breeze, and told them about that option on my drop down menu. They really can't tell you directly if you pass but he told me and I quote, "you won't have that option if you failed." I went and paid for it, and now waiting for my mail to arrive.
