Every test is different, but with that in mind I'll tell you what I'd do; and since I just took the NCLEX pn today in Boston I think I can help you.

I studied ALL the notes and powerpoints that I got during the school year. Take notes on your old notes & study them, and you'll learn even more than before. I also recommend getting an NCLEX-PN study book or CD that gives you sample questions and the rationalles for their answers. (I got a used one on eBay.) It was extremely helpful when you're torn between 2 answers and you need a reason to pick one or the other. BUT.. if you do ONLY sample questions, you will not learn as much as a full review of your LPN education. I wasted a lot of time with that before I got down to reviewing my own stuff. Don't limit yourself to just doing practice questions.

I WISH I had reviewed I&O procedures more; as well as droplet/airborne precautions. It's not that I'm an idiot, but it's those little social details that can get you scratching your head. It's not just facts & figures. I wish I hadn't wasted so much time and re-read some chapters in my med/surg book. That's why I say back to basics is the place to start. When it gets boring, do some practice questions.

My test shut off around 85 questions, but I'm pretty sure I passed.. I'll find out on 8/1/08.

:specs: Good luck! Go for it! You know that you can do it!
