NCLEX PN stopped at 85

Published

hi everyone,

i took my pn nclex couple of days ago. i stopped at 85, and took me under 90 minutes to finish it. i walked out of pearson thinking "85 is good number to stop at" , but now as the time goes by, i m getting more and more worried. i didn't find the exam challenging. i didnt think there was much critical thinking involved, i didnt get to use abcs or maslow's on any questions. i didnt get any med calculations, got 4-5 sata questions. got about 9 med questions. there was many infection control and priortization, and i got a variety of questions from many different topics. i felt as if i was getting easy, hard, hard and then again easy type of questions. and now i am starting to feel that i might've done really bad on the exam as i didnt get many satas or calculations. and the computer must've shut off before i even got to any hard questions. i have to wait 3-4 weeks for the results as i am in california but my anxiety level is getting out of control. has anybody felt this way about the exam? or am i just too stupid that the computer didnt even want to give me a chance? any suggestions ?? any advice to relieve this anxiety? thanx!!!!

congrats to all of you that have passed! We all have worked hard to get to this point. I just took the nclex -pn today and my computer shut off at 85 . I had some infection control, lots of pharmo(that I didnt know)lots of priorty, no med calculations, maybe 1 or 2 psych, and 6 sata.It was kind of hard but I do have to admit that I didn't study too much .I just reviewed over some areas I thought i was weak .I am so scared!! I'm so sure I failed .Nees some encouragement! And the great news is I am here in California :)Keep me in your prayers!!!

hi, i just took my pn exam today and the computer shut off around 111 questions.it was really hard, the questions came from nowhere. i had no calculations, a little meds,6 SATA and most of all prioritizing.what d u mean by this?

when i left the testing center, i was so confused and got head ache. d zipper of my boots were off nd didnt remember to zip it up.i cried a little. i didnt even remember those questions i encountered. huhuhu wish me luck. hoping for the best.

I sat for the NCLEX-PN last week and I got 85 questions. That only included 2 SATA questions, quite a few meds that I was not familiar with, tons of prioritizing, and no calculations at all. I passed and you will to. Have faith and hang in there. I do not think that the types of questions are indicators of passing or failing. I did the same thing you did. I felt as though I did ok when I left the test site. However, once I got home the anxiety took over. I was checking my book for correct answers and trying to determine if I got more questions right than wrong. That only added to my anxiety. Do something to take your mind off of things. Good Luck! You can do it!

I know the anxiety in waiting is the worst. It seems like eternity. I was able to pay to see online if I passed or failed after only 3 days, and it only took about 2 weeks to get the results in the mail in NY. I could not imagine waiting 3-4 weeks.
