NCLEX-PN results on hold

Published

Hi there,

I'm just looking for any insight I can get right now. I took my boards July 7, 2015. My results are still on hold and it will be 2 weeks tomorrow. The lady that checked me in told me when I left that she had made an incident report because my name didn't match my license exactly so I'm assuming that's why they are on hold. Has anyone else encountered this? I am obviously frustrated at this point. I have a job interview tomorrow and I'm afraid not knowing if I passed or not is going to hurt my chances of getting the job. How long before they release the hold?

Have you called Pearson Vue recently

I spoke to someone last week and he gave me a number to call. I called and they told me that they are unable to tell me why they are on hold or give me a timeframe. I tried Pearson again today but he told me to try back tomorrow before 3 because there wasn't anyone in the office that he was trying to contact.

Two week hold is on the long side. How did your name not match your ID? If there is a significant difference you are supposed to be turned away without refund (such as international testers that show up with a drivers license instead of the required passport)

Call back tomorrow. The BoN can't help until hold is lifted and results are released. Maybe it's a glitch that someone didn't hit the right key. In sure your in panic mode awaiting results.

My license has my married name which is my name and I was registered with my maiden name hyphen married name.

That's the issue. Maiden name vs. married name. Did you bring a copy of your marriage license with you to show them the legal name change? Our school told everyone who was planning to get married after graduation that they should register for NCLEX with their new, married name, otherwise, it's a lot of rigamarole to go through if it changes after you register. Or, wait to change your name until after you take NCLEX. I know that's not a lot of help now, but hopefully it might help future test takers.

I'd call PV again tomorrow and find out exactly what you need to do to get this remedied. Best of luck!!!!
