Well I am ready to redeem myself. On Thursday I will be taking the NCLEX PN for the second time. Thank you guys for all the support. I have prepared myself by studying harder and being in a positive state of mind.

i took mine twice before i passed it. i wish you all the best.
Well it looks like I wasn't cut out to be a nurse. I take not passing NCLEX-PN the second time as a sign. I hate my life.
don't give up, i'm sure you worked really hard to get through school, don't throw it away. step back, take a breather, then dive back in. there is no question that the test is hard, i don't know of anyone that thinks it is. take all of that negative energy you have running through you and do something positive with it. you might suprise yourself.
Thanks!

I took the NCLEX PN yesterday. I think the idea of "studying" for the test is wrong. You have to "prepare." The difference is opening your mind by learning a few fun facts each day and incorporating it into your mental filing cabinet. I read a lot about the test. It is designed for an entry level nurse who is able to practice safely. It is impossible to know everything that could possibly be asked. The main thing is, are you safe? ABCs, lab values, nursing interventions, stuff that you know has to be applied to safely take care of a patient.
I would first read about the test. Read about critical thinking. Read the nursing journals that you subscribe to. Read about the core areas (physiological integrity, client needs, etc.) Then, answer a few questions with yourself as the PN. Everything you need to answer the question is given. What is the question asking you to do or say? Come at it that way and you will be a different person. That being said, I hope I passed...
