I graduated recently from nursing school . I took my nclex April 2016 and passed. I had a million questions and couldn't find a decent recent post, so I said I would make one once I received my licensed.
What resources did I use to study?
Hurst review and 150 daily questions from any source I could find.
What was on nclex?
Priority, delegation, infection control, and ALOT of select all that apply. I had 1 math and maybe 5 pharm questions
The bulk of my test was priority( who would you see FIRST) I know most people get caught up studying content based things, which is good because you do need to know your content but nclex was mostly about being a safe nurse. Meaning they want to know that you'll keep down infection (study all highly contagious diseases and PPE for them), practice safely, and not kill anyone!
Did the "trick" work?
Me and my classmates all did the trick and it worked for all of us. After you take your exam wait a couple hours and try to register for the exam again. If you do this to soon you will get a message about "open registration"
How long did it take to get your license?
Exactly 1 week from the day I tested, my classmates got theirs within 2 to 3 days. I'm assuming mine took longer because I tested in a different state.
