Is it possible to fail the nclex pn or nclex rn with only the minimal amount of questions? Wouldn't the computer keep going to allow you a chance to pass?

The test automatically shuts off when it has determined within a 95% confidence level that no matter how many more questions you answer, you've met the minimal competency level to practice as a novice LPN. It will also shut off when it determines within a 95% confidence level that no matter how many questions you answer, you will not meet the minimal competency level to practice as a novice nurse. So yes, it's possible to fail with the minimum number of questions. However, the majority of people taking NCLEX for the first time will pass, as will the majority of those who answer the minimum number of questions.

Yes It can shut off either ways if you're doing really bad or if you're doing really good
