NCLEX - Pass/Fail and licensure

I have read a lot on here about the PVT (Pearson Vue Trick) and I am curious what people's experiences have been following the PVT. A few questions:

Has anyone ever received an unofficial "fail" (through Pearson Vue Quick Results) and then received their RN through their Board of Nursing given that this was an unofficial result?

Also, has anyone had the reverse happen - you receive an unofficial "pass" (through Pearson Vue Quick Results) and then not receive your RN license given that this was an unofficial result?

Just curious....

These possibilities are rare, if ever encountered for any reason, and I would not be concerned unless it happened to me. Reportedly more than 80% pass NCLEX, and I would be looking to be one of those in the 80% bracket until official results told me otherwise.

I knew a guy who got his first word as a fail. He was crushed. Then got a letter saying he passed. What a roller coaster. Guess he made it in under the wire, or they threw out a question after his instant results came in. That kind of thing is rare, or so I hear. I'm going into my third semester, so I'm getting nervous that would be my luck
