I am just wondering if someone has taken the NCLEX review class through NCSBN and has succeeded. I registered and I have been practicing online with this course hoping for a successful retake of the NCLEX.

i too like the course but i have lot of problems sometimes with the pages to load..........plzzzzzzzz do lemme know if any one gets through the RN doing this course so tat i can suggest it to my friends..........also my self doing this course .......i took a eight week course and find it helpful..........
I too am doing it now, but not too impressed so far. Maybe I am burnt out from styding already.
tats true with the course .....u feel exhausted soon goin throught the same details nothing new with this course but i like the medications and the nursing considerations given in there.........
I used the 3 wk subscription and preferred Saunders for content and NCSBN for Pharm. Although they give lots of extra uneccesary info and drugs. The site loads slow and some of the questions and rationales have errors. You cant print the lesson plans but they are convenient to navigate. Sometimes it was contradicting and made me a bit confused. I would suggest using one specific study plan and the Mosby prioritization book.
hello everyone!
please help me, i will take the nclex this coming may 30 and i enrolled in the e-learning of NCSBN and when im answering their Q & A portion i only got 50 %. what will you advise me? will i study the concept again or just practicing more questions from saunders, lippincot or delmar? please do give m advice coz am really craming now. thanx!
No, IMO you are not cramming, relax you have time. If I were you(I was in your same situation 2 mos ago), I would review content, you CAN read Saunders and do questions. It may seem like crunch time but use your time efficiently and study hard.
Keep a notebook about stuff you have difficulty with, use flashcards and take them with you everywhere. Dont forget to reward yourself every now and then and read the Mosby prioritization, delegation book.
Or you can study your weaknesses.
On my test, I did have a variety of stuff including drugs I've never heard of. Read your questions carefully and figure out the stem.
Do know your labs.
I also did a few questions from the -250 new format questions- book.
I got the NCSBN free through my job this week. I have no opinion of it because I have nothing to compare it to. I'm not sure if I like it yet or not.
My pretest I got a 67.33% but I have no idea what that actually means!? Most of my post tests have been high 60's low 70's and I have no idea if that is good or bad.
I plan on using it because I figure it can't hurt, the more questions I do the better right??
I'm also using the new edition of Saunders as well and I got the Kaplan strategy book.
I took the NCSBN and I felt really good about my progress. I was doing really well on the tests and I was reading all the lessons. When I went to take the NCLEX and after about 10 questions in I realized the questions in the NCSBN were nothing like the NCLEX questions. How could this be! These are the people who give the NCLEX. I felt very cheated and upset. Some people may find it helpful but it didn't prepare me at all. NCSBN doesn't have a lot of SATA or prioritizing queations. I also had a friend using it as well and said the same thing. I like Suanders and Kaplan. It is all about what feels right for you.
any updates on the progress of this program? i signed up last friday, and am going through the lessons now. would like to know if i need to continue with the questions in my saunders book. i don't want to get all jumbled with mixed materials. i have test anxiety bad enough, without the stress of that! thanks.
